Old Pocklingtoniansqualified for the finals of the GM trophy which were played in Brancaster, Norfolk in September. Having got through to the second round they were unfortunate to come up against a strong Merchiston Castle side and lost. However, later in the weekend they acquitted themselves well in the Solihull Salver league table, finishing ahead of, amongst others, Bradford, Hymers, Trent and KES Birmingham. The OP Golf Society are on the look out for more OP players especially anyone who left school in the last 10 years.
